How Does It Work?
Helps Promote Healthy Urinary Flow and Prostate Function.

Schiff® Prostate Health is a combination formula that contains key nutrients that promote prostate health†, including:

Saw palmetto extract helps support healthy prostate function, including during normal aging. Saw palmetto extract may support prostate health by antispasmodic actions and supporting healthy metabolism of hormones in the prostate gland itself.

Lycopene is a dark red carotenoid related to beta carotene mostly found in tomatoes, watermelon, pink guava, pink grapefruit and apricots. Lycopene is a potent antioxidant that protects cell membranes and DNA from oxidation. Lycopene helps to maintain healthy prostate tissue during normal aging.

Selenium is an essential trace element with a primary function of activating the major intracellular antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase. Selenium supports healthy prostate tissue during normal aging and also works with Vitamin E as an antioxidant.

Calcium d-glucarate, a nutrient found in fruits, vegetables and human bodies, has been shown to operate in the body's major cleansing pathway, glucuronidation, which helps further assist the body in removing unwanted compounds.

Zinc is found at its highest concentration within your prostate glands. Normal zinc levels in prostate tissue inhibit cellular energy production by inhibiting the utilization of citrate in the TCA cycle (inhibition of m-aconitase enzyme). Less prostate cell energy means healthy production of hormone metabolites. Maintenance of normally high levels of zinc in prostate tissue supports healthy prostate function. Zinc also counteracts damaging effects of cadmium (a toxic heavy metal) on prostate tissue.

Vitamin D, when kept at adequate levels, may also promote the maintenance of prostate health during normal aging.

Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant that protects cell membranes and DNA from oxidation. Lycopene, the major carotenoid found in prostate tissue, is absorbed better when consumed from supplements than from fresh tomatoes.

  • Saw Palmetto - several well-designed human studies positively show prostate health benefits with saw palmetto supplementation. Schiff Prostate Health matches the dose and source of Saw Palmetto extract as was studied in men for prostate health.
  • Selenium - 100% daily value. Schiff Prostate Health uses the form of Selenium chosen for long-term human research.
